As you can probably tell from reading my blog, Sundays are the days I like to dress up. I think it's very important to have one day a week where you put on your favorite dress and do whatever you need to do to feel pretty.

I found this dress at Hubba Hubba about a year ago and wore it in New York for a couple hours back in October. I loved it so much and wore it again yesterday!

I love finding these type of boxy wool sweaters at vintage shops and thrift stores. They keep you so warm and are always easy to throw on for quick errands. I wore this to go antique shopping- my dad is remodeling his home and has put me in charge!

I've had this cropped angora sweater sitting in my closet for a while. I found at Luxe De Ville awhile back along with the tribal puff-sleeved blouse I posted a few months ago.

My favorite part are the cute little bell sleeves!

The somewhat Christmas-colored background was unintentional, but I like it. Wearing vintage sweater, Rogan trousers, vintage lucite bangles, Rayban sunglasses, Louboutin Pigalle pumps (promise to stop wearing them soon... they just go with everything), and OPI Glitzerland nail polish.

The weather has gotten a little chilly lately, so I've been wearing a lot of cashmere and wool to keep me warm. Yesterday I wore a jacket that belongs to a 50s skirt suit I found at a vintage shop in Burbank. The cut is fantastic as is the red piping along the collar!

Whenever I feel like everything new isn't exciting me anymore, I go to my favorite vintage shop. As I was browsing the racks recently, I found this short Victor Costa number! To be honest, I don't really feel it looks like a Victor Costa, but whatever...

It's a pretty coral color with gold stripes throughout the dress. Paired it with vintage earrings, bracelets, Louboutin pumps, and Balenciaga sunglasses for a Sunday brunch.

I would love to know who made up that rule that says you can't wear white after labor day because I personally think that is a bunch of bologna... white is fabulous all year round!

A sudden heatwave has taken over LA and I've been forced to wear nothing but swimsuits and simple minidresses. Yesterday I wore my new 40's dress I found at Shareen Vintage (of course) and it couldn't have been more perfect for this 100-degree weather.

Also wearing Miu Miu patent pumps, Elizabeth and James sunglasses, and one of my favorite Coach clutches that I should definitely wear more often.

These sparkly earrings pinch my ears a little bit, but that's ok because they're so pretty.

Have any of you ever heard of the blog Oh She Glows? I'm not vegan but I recently discovered her blog and I'm so excited to try out some of her recipes!

Workspace

I spend a lot of time at my desk so it's important for it to be inspiring and most importantly, comfortable!

I wrapped a huge cotton blanket around a vintage leather chair... it's the best idea I've ever had.

A stash of jewelry by my computer...

I paint for fun and store my acrylic paints on the top of my desk... I think the colors look pretty.

I was just looking into my closet the other day and noticed how many floral prints I've acquired throughout these past few months... what can I say, I'll never resist a good flower print!

I love the shape of this bell skirt- it's quilted and has hidden pockets in the front. Who doesn't love discovering pockets they never knew they had?

Last Sunday I took a trip to the Rose Bowl flea market for the very first time. It was so overwhelming, but I'm so happy I was to find the furniture pieces I had been looking for. While walking around and dying in the scorching heat, I found a vendor who was selling a bunch of vintage clothes for half off. I ended up finding this beautiful taffeta skirt and a blog reader who I met there said it suited me well!

These earrings were found at an antique mall, I absolutely love them!

I love the cut of this dress, the one-shoulder strap and bodice with the draped skirt creates such an awesome silhouette! It's another find from Shareen and I wore it out to brunch yesterday... the usual Sunday outing.

This past weekend was one of the most relaxing weekends I've had in a while. I went to Shareen's on Saturday and found three incredible vintage dresses and yesterday I had lunch with my favorite people at a café we go to almost every Sunday. I wore a very comfortable, laid-back outfit...

Wearing Blumarine silk trousers (silk is so hard not to wrinkle), J.crew tank, vintage jewelry, Balenciaga sunglasses, Coach bag, and my trusty Chloe sandals... I swear, I could walk miles in these shoes! So comfortable!

There's just something so magical about vintage dresses- the fabric, the cut, and silhouette, it's hard to find that sort of charm in modern day dresses. I love collecting flirty, girly dresses (as you can probably tell from reading my blog) and this Victor Costa piece is no exception!

I found this Victor Costa dress at Shareen Vintage! It's made of cotton poplin which will be perfect for those hot days during summer vacation. I wore it with Chloe bow sandals, vintage ring, and Clara Kasavina swarovski ring.

A few weeks ago, I wandered off into the Hollywood Hills to snap some photos for Grazia Italia. I am finally debuting the shoes I posted about a couple weeks back! They are so pretty to look at, but I definitely had some trouble walking... although I think it was the pencil skirt that made me waddle kind of funny.

Yesterday I wore a vintage Jeanne Marc jacket from Shareen's to brunch. I love the details of this jacket- quilted ripples on the fabric, huge brass buttons, and turquoise polka dot trim...it's perfect!

Jeanne Marc was such a fun designer- I love all the over-the-top quilted boleros and jackets they did back in the late 70s, early 80s...

Worn with Herff Christiansen tank, gray H&M skirt from a couple years ago, vintage turquoise rings, and Chloe bow sandals (which I am in love with).

Rainbow Brite

I wore this dress for a couple hours back in November when I was in New York, but ended up changing because it was too cold. The weather was really nice today so I thought I'd bring it out of my closet!

This dress fits me perfectly! The only small issue is that it sometimes constricts my lungs which leads to shortage of breath, but that's ok I don't really mind, who needs to breathe anyway?

The skies were gray mostly all last week and after a while, it starts to affect your mood. I figured the best way to combat that was to wear a brightly-colored dress! So I wore this to grab tortilla soup and walk around the flea market with my boyfriend.

I found this silk dress at Shareen's Vintage in Downtown LA along with many other dresses that I have yet to debut on the blog. I mentioned on Twitter the other day that I feel like I have so many really over-the-top dresses (I'm talking floor-length sweeping ruffled gowns) with no place to wear them. I guess I just love how beautiful they look hanging in my closet!

I bought this Marni skirt a while back, but kind of forgot about it until today. I wore it to lunch with my dad, it's his birthday!! Happy Birthday Dad!

I am in love with the pleats on the back of the skirt, can't wait to wear it more often in the summer! Here I paired it with a men's J.Crew chambray shirt that I've been living in all week, Miu Miu platform pumps, vintage jewelry, and an alligator clutch from Cuba that's falling apart...literally.

Apologies for taking a leave of absence, I got a very intense chemical peel last Monday so my skin was looking a little bit crazy this past week. Yesterday I spent the day running around town with my boyfriend in a wool double-breasted 60s dress I found at one of my all-time favorite vintage shops. It was kind of chilly yesterday (well, fifty degrees is freezing for us Californians) so I layered it over a denim shirt and American Apparel tights. I also wore some of my favorite shoes by Balenciaga, a necklace from India, and a patent leather Jenny Yuen clutch.

Mondays are usually the crappiest day of the week but I hope everyone is having a good day so far!

Wearing crocheted lace pants I got from Hubba Hubba like a year ago. They're kind of hard to wear since they are so wide-legged and my heel always gets caught in the fabric...but then again, who says clothes have to be practical?!

The leather jacket is one my favorite things in my closet, I got it custom-fit! Also wearing Super sunglasses, a crystal bracelet from my boyfriend, and Prada sandals.

Also tried on some red lipstick I picked up at Sephora a while ago... it's by Make Up Forever!

I am really loving all the prints and colors we're seeing on the runway right now! Jonathan Saunders is one of my favorite collections so far. Anyway, inspired by funky textiles, I decided to wear a 1974 vintage-print Diane Von Furstenberg mini dress yesterday.

It's been a little cold lately so I paired my dress with J.crew ribbed tights and Miu Miu patent loafer pumps that I received as a Christmas gift! Also wearing a vintage fur coat and necklace, Karen Walker sunglasses, and Chloe bag.

Also debuting an incredible ring by Ziba Khatibi. I never wear rings, but this one is too beautiful not to wear!!

Quick Trip to NY

Just got back from New York- went for the IFB conference and a couple other fun meetings. The IFB conference was wonderful and it was so sweet to meet other readers and bloggers!

I checked in at the W in Times Square... I loved it! I usually stay in Soho, but it was nice being in a different part of NYC for a change.

The first night I arrived, they brought me cookies and milk... the next day, they brought me "W" pretzels and cheese!

I didn't realize I packed so many neutrals until I hung everything in the closet. I'm a horrible packer, not going to lie.

Some of the accessories I also packed on top of vintage wool trousers I found at Amarcord and Madewell sparkly gold shorts.

Delicous beet and goat cheese salad I ordered at the W... If you ever go, YOU must try it!

Another delicious treat- iced tea from The Lambs Club. Everything tastes so good in NY!

What I wore yesterday... vintage fur coat, 50s wool coat from Hubba Hubba, Levi's denim vest, Juicy lace dress, J.crew tights, and YSL imperial pumps.

As much as I love New York, it is always so great to come back home and see my family and boyfriend!

I haven't worn this dress in a while but it's perfect for the weather we're having. I remember when I purchased it, the owner told me it had real gold thread woven throughout the dress...I'm not quite sure if she was lying or not, but that'd be really cool if it did!

Thanksgiving in NY

This year my family and I came to New York to spend Thanksgiving weekend. I've been here for two days now... yesterday, my friend Karen took me to a restaurant on Irving Place called Pure Food and Wine where I had the best caesar salad ever! You guys have to go there, it's amazing. The city looks so festive and pretty with all the Christmas lights, but it is freezing cold! Well then again, I am from California so anything below 60 degrees is unbearable! Anyway, here are a few photos I've taken so far...

Yesterday morning we had a quick breakfast at Cafe Gitane at the Jane Hotel...

One of the dishes we ordered- avocado, lemon juice, olive oil, and chili flakes... sounds like a strange combo, but it was pretty good!

Another Fluffy Dress

I feel like I have way too many dresses that involve either tulle or taffeta...basically any fabric that creates volume. This is another tulle dress that I cut with kitchen scissors to make it shorter...never got around to hemming it, but I like it better like this anyway.
