Partly Sunny

I'm not dressing up this year for Halloween because I couldn't think of anything silly to be...well, I wanted to be a question mark or an octopus, but didn't end up putting together the costumes.
Anyway, I spent my Sunday afternoon having lunch at one of my favorite cafes with my family and boyfriend. If you guys are ever in LA, make sure you have breakfast/lunch at Toast- it's so tasty!
The weather was really nice today. I wore an old Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater, mustard silk skirt from a thrift store, my dad's Gap leather belt, vintage earrings, Nina Ricci ankle-strap pumps, Versace sunglasses, and a pony hair tote by Coach. I have been carrying this bag with me everywhere!
Me and Gabriel...probably laughing at something stupid... I love him!
Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween! xoxoxo

The Camel Train

Apologies for being a crappy blogger...I've been busy altering vintage dresses and jackets, painting pictures for my best friends, and watching horror movies with my boyfriend. Anyway, here are a few photos I've taken recently...dressed in a combination of camel and ivory tones...
Please excuse me for always laughing in my pictures and covering my mouth awkwardly... I'm just a really happy person, ok?
Wearing an H&M polka dot cropped sweater, a cobalt blue velvet belt given to me as a gift, vintage Harrod's  skirt and Dries Van Noten sandals.
Wearing a silk jumpsuit, old DKNY knit sweater, kid's vintage Levi's jacket, Karen Walker sunglasses, and the Dries Van Notens again.
Wearing a blazer from the Goodwill, vintage Levi jeans, Gap tee, and Balenciaga platform sandals.
Nothing like a pair of worn-out vintage Levis!

Lately I've been intrigued by the idea of replacing the straight leg pant with flared trousers. Here are a couple flared pants I've been wearing...
These flower print pants are from the 70s... a great find at a vintage shop in Burbank. Got them last year but never really wore them until now. I love how they're cropped, makes them look like geeky high-waters... I like that!
Worn with a Gap striped tee, vintage Norma Kamali trench coat, vintage jewelry, Coach Kristin tote, and Yves Saint Laurent tribute pumps.
Another pair of flared pants... this time they're jeans by Tory Burch. This is a super casual outfit (well, for me at least), but these pants fit great and are super comfortable! Worn with a vintage angora cardigan, Gap striped tee, vintage jewelry, and Chloe lace-up wedge boots.
Take care guys!

Monday's Child

I was getting a little tired of my old hair color... it had turned kind of brassy and the roots had grown out really fast, so I decided to dye it back to a darker shade this past weekend. It looks like I belong to the Addam's Family, but I love it. I'm not too particular about my hair to be honest, I'm down for whatever!
I personally think everyone should start wearing hoop earrings again!
Lucca Couture knit trousers, Karla's Closet for Coach bag, and Mary Meyer hand-printed grid scarf...
Also wearing Givenchy t-strap platforms... these shoes have been resoled twice already.

Oh, I'm going to try and load up tomorrow so be sure to check that out if you'd like!

Brand New Python

I found these incredible Alaia cranberry-red python wedges on Ebay a few weeks ago and wore them yesterday for  a meeting and lunch.
Wore them with my favorite old Levi's, a vintage blouse, and a ponyhair Coach tote.

Perfect Scarf+Chloe Boots

This scarf has been around my neck for the past several days. Even though it's super colorful, it goes with a lot of things I own like grandpa ribbed sweaters, gauzy blouses, and tan trench coats... I love it so much. I wore in a previous post not too long ago and forgot to mention it's from Zara!
Also got the chance to wear my Chloe boots... they're one of my favorite pairs of shoes! Worn with vintage Norma Kamali trench coat, random cashmere sweater, American Apparel créme jeans, and Proenza Schouler canvas bag.
I'm starving so I'm gonna make a quick run to my favorite cafe and get a tuna melt and a bowl of vegetable chili :)

Back to Basics

Sometimes I don't want to wear anything too fussy or experimental... sometimes it's all about the classic pieces in your wardrobe.
I wanted to wear my Margiela screen-printed pumps today but they're kind of difficult to work with because of the heel height so I just paired them with H&M siwy jeans, a Ralph Lauren pleated bib shirt, and vintage Versace sunglasses.
Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend! xoxoxo
