The Last Straw

Been out of the loop lately, and yes, I'm about to give you the usual excuse... I'm busy with finals.

One of my final projects is to come up with my own clothing company and design a summer or fall line. I was really excited when I was given the assignment, but it has become quite stressful due to the amount of work it takes to actually put the line into production- cost sheets, spec sheets, color stories, fabric choice, even if the concept behind the line was difficult to put together (but that's only because I had about a million different directions I wanted it to go in). I ended up drawing inspiration from Dries Van Noten A/W 09 strange color combinations and the shapes, lines, and volume from the Balenciaga S/S 08 show:

Looking forward to seeing the outcome of this project- it totally made me excited about creating my own line in the future.

Urban & Dujour

I somehow always manage to forget certain features I've been a part of, so here are two of the more recent ones. Shout out to Dujour Magazine and The Urban Collection for being so sweet!

Peeping Pepe

I've been sitting here at my desk in my newly remodeled room doing nothing but studying for finals and drinking diet squirt, so after I while I felt it was only necessary to give myself a five minute break to wander off on the internet. Somehow, some way, I ended up discovering this awesome designer by the name of Maria Francesca Pepe and really fell in love with her creative and directional designs.
Since I'm dying of starvation right now, I'll just leave you with photos of her most recent collection... all I can say is looking through her S/S 09 collection, I've come to the conclusion that I really need a necklace that could double up as a deadly weapon.

I don't believe I've ever done a post on some of my favorite blogs, mostly because I was being selfish and didn't really want to share them with anyone else (just kidding), but since some of you have emailed/commented asking about the kind of blogs I read on a daily basis, I figured today (another camera-less evening) would be a perfect time to share my secrets with you.

An awesome assortment of inspiring photo collages... I really love looking at photos and such.

Super superb (I like the way that sounds) street style blog.

I love her blog a lot- she designs almost all her clothes and even makes her own hang tags. Not to mention the fact that she talks about food... not that I can cook or anything.

Having the ridiculous shoe fetish I have, this blog is like heaven. It's all about shoes!

Another street style blog that started up recently- Jason really knows how to capture the essence of the fashionably people he photographs.

I've always admired Kanye's style and his ability to wear crazy pieces with confidence. His personal blog is a compilation of things like music, furniture, art and fashion.

My other favorite photo collage blog. She's really talented with the whole "creating collages" thing and the ones she creates are always inspirational and pretty.

Let me know if you guys have found any pictorial blogs or interior design blogs please!
